Poland - Warsaw (1)

Hello guys!! This is my first blog. My name is Mint and I loveee to travel! In my normal days I search for places to visit and eat in my own town. I can not stop thinking about adventure outside my comfort zone, it must be something I crave for, lol. So, I decided to create a travel blog to review my trips. I am a beginner blogger, if there is anything I could improve please tell me :)This is my first visit to Poland! I was extremely excited before the trip. I always want to visit Poland because of their history. My bf and I spent four days in Poland, two days in Warsaw and two days in Gdansk. We took a Ryan-air flight from Glasgow to Warsaw Modlin airport (It was £16 per person, I'm so impressive by the low price lol). We arrived at the Warsaw Modlin airport at 2 pm, it was late afternoon. So, we decided to take taxi which took around 40 minutes to Campanile Varsovie hotel. This hotel has great facilities, food, location and transportation. I love those designs and decorations of the hotel. This place made me feel like home.

The hotel is quite far from attractions so we bought 24-hour tickets from a kiosk in front of the train station. The ticket can be used on every transportation in Warsaw (15 PLN). We hopped into a tram to the tomb of the unknown solider. The monument was built (and destroyed by German in 1944) as a memorial for devoted soldiers who died between 1918 and 1920.
Then I walked towards the old town. I walked pass a lovely church..
These pictures are the scenery on my way to the old town. The buildings were painted in colorful patterns. It looks so pleasant, that I had to stop and take few photos.

On the left side is Sigismund’s column which commemorate King Sigismund III Vasa, who moved Poland’s capital from Krakow to Warsaw. On the right side of the picture is the Royal castle in Warsaw. This castle is a residence for that formerly served throughout the centuries as the official residence of the Polish monarchs. (Source: Wikipedia)

Then I walked to the market square. There are many restaurants and cafes for tourists to stop and enjoy this charming place. It was getting dark, art galleries and museums were closed. I do not have a strong affection towards art works or history in Warsaw, so I prefer to walk around the old town and take beautiful pictures.

I have to admit that this is one of the best old town I have visited in Europe. I'm glad that I was there. It's a shame that I stayed in the town only for a night so I haven't explore much. :/
