WAY TO GET DISCOUNTS ON SHOPPING IN UK ( SCOTLAND)

Hi shoppers! I know that everyone loves the word DISCOUNT and SALE or even FREE. I am one of those shoppers who loves to check on discounts or offers before buying any items to get the best deal. I feel that I am a bit crazy about the differences in price on the same item, even as little as a pound, LOL. Alright, so today I am going to share tips and tricks to get discounts on clothings, restaurants, flights, groceries, trains, and how to get cashbacks for online shopping. Sound interesting? QUIDCO AND CLICK-SNAP (CASH BACKS)

Quidco is a website for getting cashback from online shopping. It is a very simple and useful platform to use especially for ones who love to shop online like me :). The first thing to do is register with your email and get ready for shopping! The example of the webpage is shown below.

There are several brands that offer cashback when you shop online. For example, HotelChocolat offers 10% cashback but it has a special condition for a cashback for each online store.

If you want to buy chocolate from HotelChocolat then click Shop now, and it will direct you to HotelChocolat website. You will have to do your shopping only on the popup from Quidco, so that the transaction can be tracked.

After the transaction is tracked, it would take some time for the website to confirm your cashback. There are several ways to get your cash back. Usually I will get M&S gift card to do grocery shopping :P

ClickSnap is an application for grocery shopping which is one of the Quidco features. It offers caskbacks for items that is on the application. Where new items will appear every week (Usually on Monday). After purchase those items on the offer then go into the application and take a clear photo of receipt and click send. All cashback from ClickSnap will go into your Quidco account. Everytime before I do grocery shopping I have to check on this app, LOL.

CHECKOUT SMART (COMPARISON WEBSITE)

It's a application for a cashback on grocery shopping just like ClickSnap. Sometimes even offers on the application are the same! There are many times that I buy just one item but I got double cashback from two applications. Teehee! But CheckoutSmart application is a bit different where you will get 5% deducted from your cashback if your withdrawn money is under £19.99.

MYSUPERMARKET (COMPARISON WEBSITE)

MySupermarket is a price compare website for grocery shoppers, which is my most favourite website and it took most of my time before my grocery shopping :P. Since UK supermarkets have different deals at a different times, so the aim of this website is to help shoppers save money from grocery shopping.

SKYSCANNER (COMPARISON WEBSITE)

SkyScanner is used to compare flight tickets, hotels, and car hire. I like to use it to research the cheapest destinations from UK. This website saves so much money on my travel budget!

Firstly, select an airport you wish to travel from. We can leave the destination as unfixed. A specific date can be selected or choosing to compare prices within a month.

These websites gather all online shopping offers and discount codes on their website. However, UniDAYS and StudentBeans requires a valid student ID in order to receive online student discounts. Where VoucherCodes doesn't need one. Happy shopping <3

ITISON / 5PM.CO.UK (PRE-PURCHASE COUPONS)

Itison and 5pm.co.uk are websites with great dining, hotels and event deals. They both started in Glasgow, Scotland and expanding to other cities. 5pm.co.uk has expanded to England, while itison is still based in Scotland. Both website offers pre-purchase coupons. There are more Scotland's deals in itison while in 5pm.co.uk, you can search for restaurant deals and book dining offers for free. I use both websites to find the best restaurants and hotel deals. They are both my favourite websites, LOL. In my opinion, if you are currently based in Glasgow, Itison is the best choice for you to find great restaurant deals!

16-25 RAILCARD

Register for a 16-25 railcard to get 1/3 discount from all destinations on UK rail fares. If you are at age 16 to 25 or a full time student then you can register for a 16-25 railcard. They offer 1-year card for £30 or 3-year for £70. BUT don't forget to check on VoucherCodes for extra discounts, you can get as low as £25 for 1-year 16-25 card (Depends on seasonal purchase). There are extra offers on theatres and travels as well!

NUS EXTRA CARD

NUS extra card (Nation Union of Students) is a card for students using on online shopping for discounts. They offer 1-year card for £12, 2-year card for £22 or 3-year card for £32. The NUS extra card comes with 1-year free International Student Identity Card (ISIC). The ISIC is the only internationally accepted proof of certified student status, which is accepted in over 130 countries around the world! What are you waiting for? Let's register for it <3

SWIPII CARD

Swipii card is a loyalty card for collecting rewards from participating stores. This business idea is developed by an Alumni of University of Strathclyde (Yay! The same Uni as me!). It is originated in Glasgow and currently expanding to other cities. You can get your Swipii card at the participating stores and use your email to register on the ipad at your collection store. Then you can download their application on your smart phone to track on your loyalty points. Enjoy!!
